Digital | Reading and Leeds – the artists

It is always fun to work on the artist led digital pieces as you never know what they’re going to say next!

Would You Rather?
Reading and Leeds has a cheeky approach to life, and so the content that we create is also done with a cheeky sense of fun 😉 The “Would You Rather” interview filmed onsite at Reading 2018, was great fun to cut together in Premier Pro and bring to life. It had me giggling anyway…

Artist Shout Outs
One fun project I worked on in the run up to #RANDL19 was a series of artist shout outs to help build excitement for August. Editing and combining interview and live footage  – no biggy – I created a VHS feel inkeeping with the brand, something that will continue into 2020. The social team were pleased with the results, have a look at Frank Carter here, and after I created my template in After Effects it was pretty straight forward to create the others 🙂

Additionally, as well as the video content, in Photoshop I produce thumb stopping artist content to grab viewers attention. Pieces such as this include playlist artwork and fun quizzes all to keep our audience engaged with the brand throughout the season.

And finally… The biggest of the artist led pieces are the announcements themselves. The work surrounding announcements is fast paced and ever changing, so I try to prepare in advance whatever I can. The videos can range from simple photographic slideshows to footage with text overlays, to full cut videos using footage provided by the artists themselves. The teasers and countdowns are fun to work on too which help build the excitement of the audience, and when the announcement hits – we get instant feedback!
