Wow! I realised last night that it is 10 years this month since I decided that freelancing would be my best option, and to be honest I’ve never looked back!
It’s allowed me the freedom to work from around the world (literally!) and the opportunity to work with numerous people across thousands of projects with office set ups ranging from hostels in New Zealand to the middle of fields across the UK.
What started with a redundancy and being flung into the unknown, has resulted in me being able to make my working life work for me. I can’t say that it would be for everyone, but to have survived this long makes me thankful for those I have worked with past and present, and for the fun I’ve had along the way.
Yes, there’s been bits I haven’t enjoyed, but that’s life, but to have got this far relatively unscathed makes me believe I made the right choice a decade ago.
Thanks to everyone who has crossed my inbox, I literally couldn’t do this without you – so please always come knocking whether I spoke to you yesterday or 10 years ago, I will always be happy to help those in need of design sparkle
