A few years ago I created a kaleidoscope effect for Festival Republic’s OnBlackheath Festival animated social assets. At the time I trawled the world wide web to find a user friendly tutorial, and after some trial and error came across this little nugget from NBC Motion. As it’s always handy to have a recommendation, I thought I would share and hopefully you will find yourself with a successful kaleidoscope video too 🙂
The video is short and snappy (of which I am a fan) and straight to the point (which I love) so if you’re on deadline for a client, or just having a play, then this is the tutorial for you. Using any image plus the “mirror” effect you will literally be able to create a kaleidoscope effect in minutes.
